A trip to Venice inspired the Songbird collection, with its references to the Art Nouveau style. The hand-drawn patterns are just a sweet nod to the more elaborate designs of Art Nouveau, but it has been fun to try to recreate the feel and look in a light, naiver way, especially in the Cora, Aubrey and Songbird designs.
The color palette has a light, dusty-pastel feel that is not typical for the 1900s, but Tone wanted to tone down the busy patterns and give the collection a soft, watercolor-like effect. This is a collection for those who love light and delicate and is perfect for spring and summer.
